"Clients often tell me they were nervous before our first session and surprised by how easy it felt to talk to me - that matters to me more than almost anything else."

Therapeutic Support for Life’s Toughest Times
About Catherine
I'm a professional counsellor for adults based in Sale, Manchester, and I work with people going through times when life doesn't look quite like they expected. These experiences - bereavement, redundancy, fertility struggles, caregiving or any other major challenge - can be surprisingly isolating, even when the people around you are supportive. There's often a sense of "I should be coping better than this," or a feeling that nobody quite understands what's actually going on for you. I get it, and I don't think you should have to carry that alone.
More than anything, I want our sessions to feel like a conversation, not a clinical appointment. No jargon, no feeling like you need to perform "doing therapy right." Just an honest space where you can say the things you haven't said out loud yet, and be met without judgement.
In addition to my private work, I'm a volunteer counsellor with BlueSci wellbeing in Trafford. I've also volunteered with Trafford Carers, supporting those with caring responsibilities. In my spare time, I enjoy getting out in nature, either running, hiking or camping.
Qualifications & Trust
I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy and am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Trained in a person-centred approach, I provide a warm, empathetic presence rooted in professional expertise.
